Joe down in Sitka sent me a couple pictures of the Northern Lights from his house, so this is what Sitka looked like this morning…
Bob and Teen Miller have operated the Situk River Fly Shop with their two kids since 2007 in Yakutat, Alaska inside the big ol' WWII Army Air Corps hangar. After 14 years, the shop closed September 30th, 2021.
The Situk River Fly Shop is now closed. Thank you for 14 years of fun and friendships. -Bob
September 30th, 2021 - This was a tough season and I can't say I'm too disappointed it is over. They found the second body two days ago. Hard to lose two people on the Situk as we did this year. Stay safe and cherish every moment we have on this earth.
August 12th, 2021 - Both our republican senators voted to advance the "Infrastructure Bill" this week, setting up passage of a 3.5 trillion single spending bill from congress. Adjusted for inflation, the US spent 4 trillion total for all of WWII... There is no recovering from this crap.
